Education and Training

Through the British Deer Veterinary Association, we have provided practical training and presentations to the wider veterinary community on topics such as bovine tuberculosis in deer, veterinary care of reindeer, handling and live capture of deer, and remote chemical injection.

Both Kit and Sam have delivered undergraduate teaching on deer as part of the Veterinary Medicine and Science curriculum at multiple UK Universities.

We have facilitated talks and training for deer professionals through the British Deer Farm and Park Association and in conjunction with government projects looking at disease surveillance in wild deer populations.
