Care of Reindeer

The care of UK reindeer is a complex challenge. These animals evolved in arctic conditions and their care in the UK climate can pose an obstacle to clinicians and owners alike. We have extensive experience in dealing with reindeer in the UK from both husbandry and medicine points of view.

Unfortunately, due to the level of care that reindeer require, we cannot offer first opinion services to clients outside of Tyndale Vets' normal geographical area, as we are not able to provide adequate emergency care, under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons' Code of Conduct. However, we are very happy to provide consultancy and second opinion veterinary care.
